90 percent of the country does not have full IT governance. Of these 8 percent of the banks did not take any initiative to implement IT governance.

The information was released in a research report by the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM). The research report was presented at the IT Workers of Banks's Arresting Workshop at BIBM Auditorium in Mirpur, capital Dhaka on Tuesday.Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank and Chairman of BIBM Executive Committee Abu Hena Moha were present as the chief guest. Razi Hasan. Bibem Muzaffar Ahmed Chair Professor and former Professor of Economics Department of Dhaka University were also present. Former Deputy Governor Naznin Sultana, Former Managing Director of Pubali Bank and Professor Helal Ahmed Chowdhury, Professor of BIBM, Former Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Prof. Yasin Ali, superintending professor of BIBM, Abul Kashem Mohammad, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dutch Bangla Bank. Shirin, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank AKM Fazlul Haque Miah, Additional Managing Director of South East Bank SM Moinuddin Chowdhury, Country Technology Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Manitur Rahman said.
