Send remittance $1300 million to expatriates in March
In March this year, expatriate Bangladeshis sent remittances to the US $1,300.46 million, more than $ 222.94 million more than the same period last year.
In March 2017, expatriates sent remittances to 1,077.52 million dollars in the country.In the current fiscal year 2017-18 fiscal year (FY 20128), there was a total remittance of 10,761.29 million dollars in the country, which was 9,194.59 million dollars at the same time in the last fiscal year.Statistics show that expatriates used more private banking channels to send remittances in March, amounting to $ 959.51 million.During this time, the six public sector banks - Janata, Rupali, Sonali, BASBL and BDBL - received a total of $315.79 million and a state-owned specialized bank Bangladesh Krishi Bank received 11.34 million dollars.
