Per capita income increased by 200% in ten years
In the last ten years, the per capita total national income (GNI) has increased by almost 200%.
As a result, the standard of living of ordinary people in rural and urban areas increased in the country.According to the Ministry of Finance, the living standard has increased by 196.50 percent in the last ten years. In 2006, the per capita income was 543 US dollars. Ten years later, the per capita income increased to 1610 US dollars in 2016.One of the three prerequisites for the phenomenal growth of GNI is that Bangladesh will have to come out of the LDC Group. For this, the per capita GNI of Bangladesh should be $ 1,230 or higher.Increasing GNI has played an important role in improving the socio-economic condition of the country and the development of the lives of the general public.World Bank's top economist said. Zahid Hossain said poverty rate in Bangladesh dropped from 31.5 percent in 2010 to 24.3 percent in 2016.Referring to stable economy indicators stabilizing, GNI expressed optimism about the continuation of this growth in future, saying Bangladesh will come out of LDC by 2024. But after coming out of LDC, Bangladesh will have to face some challenges. Bangladesh has to take this challenge to prepare for Mobela, that is, the plan will be taken from now on.
