Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbub Ul Alam Hanif said that rejecting the quota system will not be a cause of risk for the Awami League in the next election but will be rather positive.

Because those students who were against the quota system will have support for the government. He said these while interacting with the good people on the occasion of Pahela Boishakh at his residence at Patiya Road in Kushtia town on Saturday.

Regarding the demand of BNP to play an election-level playing field, Hanif said that all elections under the current Election Commission have been free, fair and neutral. So there was no disruption in the level playing field. He further said that if the top leader of a party is imprisoned for being guilty of corruption, then that party does not exist. There is no moral right to speak to the people. BNP has already lost the moral right.Awami League and organizational leaders were present at the time.
