The draft 'Government Email Policy-2018' has been compulsorily compulsory to use e-mail address 'dot bd'.

It's going to be a regular meeting of the cabinet on Monday (April 9th) for approval.If this policy is approved by the Department of Information and Communication Technology, government officials and employees will face the restriction of using e-mail. They will not be able to use Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and other communications systems for their work.It is known that these policies are being considered by the government to protect the privacy and cyber security.Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to chair the cabinet meeting in the Prime Minister's Office.According to the draft policy, an e-mail ID will be created in the 'dot bd' domain with the names of ministries, departments, departments and agencies for each of the government officials and employees. It has to be mailed to governmental work. This ID can be used only for government organizations. Can not be used through personal or social communication. The e-mail service will be provided by Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) of the Department of Information Technology.
