Training of 3700 doctors to prevent chikungunia

So far 3,800 doctors have been trained to prevent chikungunya.

The information was given at the 17th meeting of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at Parliament House on Tuesday.A press release from the Parliament Secretariat said that in the meeting of the Standing Committee, the recommendations of the National Heart Institute were to increase the number of modernization, cleanliness and ICU. Apart from this, the committee recommended the setting up of the third branch of Essential Drugs Limited in Gopalganj, and the committee recommended to set up a water treatment plant.In the meeting, print and electronic media are appreciated to help raise awareness of Chikungunya. The parliamentary committee recommends giving monthly amount of Tk 20,000 per month for residential private physicians to ensure continuous medical care for the patients admitted in 19 government medical college hospitals.
