The new VAT law ends in the coffin of the housing sector

Rehob said in a written statement to the press conference on 'Rehab Reactions on the proposed National Budget 2017-18' at Sonargaon Hotel in the city on Saturday.Alamgir Shamsul Alamin said, "Before raising the budget proposal in the Jatiya Sangsad, REHAB leaders had separately held separate meetings with different government organizations, including the National Board of Revenue, including various demands. We have organized a press conference to highlight our demands and proposals to the media. In the REHAB budget proposal, we gave the most importance, on behalf of the government, on the formation of a fund. Because, housing for people of the middle class is very easy, if the government has arranged a loan on a single digit. To fulfill the dream of middle-class housing and to bring the dynamics of the housing sector, we also demanded a refinancing of Tk 20 billion as 'Housing Loan'. But there was no instruction or statement in this proposed budget. In addition, the interest of the bank loan reduces, however, it can increase anytime, the buyers are not taking that loan. Buyers were interested in borrowing such loans before the government did not have the risk of housing loan allocated. There is no reflection of the formation of this fund in the proposed National Budget.
