The party's secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government is desperate to curb the opposition including BNP.

He said this in a statement on Saturday afternoon.Dhaka City BNP leader Abul Khayer Bablu arrested and Moha He expressed deep concern over Nayeem not appearing in court, he said.Alleging the protest and protesting, Mirza Fakhrul said, "The present ruling party, which has been forced by the voting of the state by force, through voter-free elections, is doing nothing to take away anything in the state by boasting of power."The government is so desperate to curb the opposition including BNP, that the month of Ramadan is not hesitating to arrest and torture leaders and workers in false cases''.BNP secretary general demanded withdrawal of the case and his unconditional release claiming Abul Khair Bablu being arrested for political revenge.As well as Moha Naim urged the court to immediately appear before the court and withdraw the case and get him conditionally free.In another statement, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP president Habib Uddin Khan Sohel and General Secretary Kazi Abul Bashar demanded the release of two leaders arrested and condemned.
